Reb Tuvye Neuman
Executive Director
Tuvye, a Talmid of Satmar, living in Williamsburg Brooklyn, grew up as the second of ten children in Boro Park. Losing his father at the age of sixteen he was forced to quickly mature and assume some of the responsibility for his younger brothers and sisters giving him an early education in how to get things done.
While growing up in the Satmar community, Tuvye was always reading and trying to gain more knowledge in both limudei kodesh and secular studies. After his chasunah he decided to take the next step in his education and come to our yeshiva to get a college degree while still staying in a heimish atmosphere and continue on with his Torah learning.
When he stepped into the Yeshiva office for the first time in his chasidishe levush he was well spoken, confident, learned and comfortable in his own skin. It didn’t take the Roshei Yeshiva long to realize that he would soon become an important member of the Yeshiva.
From the beginning of his first semester he hit it off right away creating a bond with the Roshei Yeshiva, fellow students and professors. He absorbed all that was being taught both in limudei kodesha and in his college courses. He received top grades on all his tests, even creating and leading his own review classes before midterms and finals.
It was natural that the yeshiva in search of an executive director offered this position to Tuvye, who, with his rational thinking, outgoing personality and passion for the yeshiva that taught him so much, will help it grow and prosper.
