Stanley Shapiro

Stanley Shapiro comes from England. He received his Bachelor of Science and Ph.D in Engineering from Imperial College of Science & Technology, London. He taught at Polytechnic University of NY and then worked on NASA's Apollo Project, which culminated in the moon landing in 1969.

He worked at the Israel Ministry of Defense Applied Math on radar and missile systems, for a three year period that included the Yom Kipper War.

Since then Dr. Shapiro's focus was on intelligent automated business systems for telecommunications companies RCA and MCI, from which he retired in 2004.

He now spends time learning Torah, teaching T'nach, and reading philosophy and mathematics.

He is excited by this opportunity to join the IDT Yeshivah and share ideas on math, science and Torah with a new generation of students.
