How long will it take me to get a degree?You can get your degree in as little as two years by putting in the effort, and passing all classes that are provided. But it can take up to two and a half years.
Is the degree from an accredited college and if so which one?
The Limudei Kodesh credits are from Maalot, and the college credits are obtained through Essex County College, and they are both transferred to Thomas Edison State College where you get your degree
Is it possible to transfer credits from/to the Yeshiva@IDT?
Yes, most credits are transferable, from and to the Yeshiva.
How many credits are needed to obtain a degree?
For both a BA and a BSBA, 120 credits are needed.
How many credits can be accrued from religious studies?
Up to 60 credits can be obtained from our morning studies program,
What is the morning studies program?
The morning studies program consists of a full morning seder, which includes: shiurim given by Rabbi Skaist and Rabbi Weiss in Gemara, Halacha, and Hashkafa. Plus, time is spent learning b’chavrusa.
What kinds of courses are given at the Yeshiva?
We offer a variety of core courses in Business, English, Math, and Computers. In addition we also offer other courses such as Criminology, Music, Art, and Law.
Is there a dorm?
Currently, no dorm is available. Many students board in nearby Passaic, NJ, which is only a few minutes drive from us.
Do I need a high school diploma in order to attend the yeshiva?
A high school diploma or a GED is generally required.
What are the requirements for admission to the Yeshiva?
A student needs to demonstrate ability and motivation to perform, have the ability to think logically and conceptually, and to arrive at mature judgments. Proper writing and verbal communication skills play an important role as well.
How many students are there in yeshiva?
We have an average of anywhere between 40 and 50 students annually.
What is the average age of the students?
Our students range in age from 17 to 26 years old
What is the typical background of the average student?
We have a Diverse group of students both geographically and hashkafa wise. Students from yeshivos such as Satmar, Mir, and Chaim berlin are currently attending the Yeshiva@IDT
How much does it cost?
Tuition is $12,000 a year. That includes morning (limudei kodesh) and afternoon (College courses) classes as well as credits, registration and credits transfer.
What does it not include?
It does not include text books, lunch, or travel expenses.
